18 Days Left
We are going on camp this week. The year 7 girls had a contest to design the logo for their camp this year and then they got to bring in tshirts, pillow cases or tea towels to screen print. It was a fun activity
Becs and Carrie helpin Nikita with her screen print
Becs doing her own
Edith showing hers offAlannah and Unique helping Emily
Amalia, Alannah, Megan, Megan and Edith using their work time "wisely"
India and Nikita really using their time wisely :-)
Emma and Kelly (with Megan in the background)
The following are from my year 8 maths class: (it was dress up day that day so a few are not in school uniform)
This weekend I went to my cooperating teacher's house. Her daughter, Miranda, brought me out for the day. First she brought me up to Adelaide Hills and had a look out over the city. It was neat seeing the places that I have been from up high.
Then we went to Cleland Wildlife Park, which is full of Australian animals, most of them wondering around free.
Here is a kookaburra. It scared a bunch of Japanese tourists by landing on someone's plates and stealing some hot chips (aka french fries)
Potoroos were everywhere! Running around the park, jumping out of the bushes. They were pretty cute even though they look like huge rats.
Here's a little wallaby. I tried to get one for Ben but it wouldn't cooperate.
This guy is an echidna. He uses his beak to dig into the ground and eat ants.
These are Cape Barren geese, their beaks are like a fluorescent yellow and they make growling noises.
Here is a real live Tasmanian Devil. He looks a bit different then Taz, but just as scary.
We got to feed and pet the kangaroos.
An albino kangaroo
This one kept doing tricks for us and kept us entertained.
This one was a little baby, not shy at all. Check out their hind toes.
These guys are just relaxing and enjoying the afternoon.
They had Koalas there too!
A few Koala facts: They are not bears, they are actually relatives of wombats. They have 3 fingers and 2 thumbs on their front paws. They sleep up to 20 hrs a day and eat the other part. They eat up to 25% of their body weight (around 2-3 lbs) of Eucalyptus leaves a day.
And I got to hold one!!
This ones name is Priscilla and was rescued as an orphan
A pelican and a heron in the background. The heron uses its bill like a spear to stab their prey.
This guy was walking around like this and being mean to the other birds. He wasn't very nice at all.
"Maybe a dingo ate your baby"
Emus are ugly birds they look like they are balding, they are also the worse beggars. They will follow you around and peck at you if they think you have food.
This is a sand goanna
And a real Australian road sign

Summer Plans
Hello Everyone!
ALSO!!
A week or so ago I finally got my summer plans in order and I am excited about them! First off, after graduation I will be going on sort of a road trip with my family. We will visit: Washington D.C., New York, and Chicago. I love both D.C. and Chicago but New York will be totally new to me!
After I get back I will be working at Moss Green. I have worked at Moss Green a few times during breaks and before camp during the summers. It's a screen printing shop which is neat to see how shirts are printed, but at the same time in the summer its hot and the job is pretty monotonous (not complaining, I promise!)
ALSO!!
I will be working at Camp Gilead again this summer. It has been a difficult battle for me on whether I should or shouldnt work at camp. First I had filled out the application for HS Stall Leader again but then debated on turning it in. Since I will be graduating this year it is important to find a job and be available for interviews, so being at camp Sunday night to Saturday mornings can make this hard. Also, I have quite a few weddings to go to this summer and really wanted to make it to those. So for a while I decided not to apply for camp this summer. That is, until the day after the deadline when I started sweating about it and regretting not applying. But it was too late. So I went online and looked up other camps I could work at, I applied for the HS staff program director at Sambica and was offered the job. I was really excited about this oppurtunity but didnt see it working out this summer, so after a lot of prayer and thought I had to turn the offer down. Only recently I had been trying to find ways of being able to work at camp and decided that I could maybe spend a week or two out there filling in if they needed it. When I emailed the Program Director about this she suggested I apply for day camp counselor since that is only 4 weeks of the summer (3 weeks of camp and 1 training week). I thought about it and toyed with the idea. My passions really fall on the Middle School and High School kids but the day camps involve 1st-3rd graders. I prayed about it and applied for the job. In the end I was actually offered the Day Camp Director position. Which I am excited about, I love the planning aspect and it also works out great will being able to work with Moss Green the other weeks of the summer and have the flexibility to go to weddings and search for teaching a job. I will be at camp for 5 weeks including the leadership training week as well as the weeks I mentioned before. I am really happy about how my summer is looking and excited to see how God will work in all the areas involved!

Where I Have Been Living
Happy Easter!!
"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."
